their own acoustic guitar and flatpicks. An electronic tuner and
capo are recommended. Tape recorders and video cameras will be
allowed and are encouraged for future review and study. Workshop

Bring a notebook and your instrument (if you play one). No matter what genre you work in – folk, country, bluegrass, blues, rock, hip-hop or pop – or how much experience you have, you’ll enjoy this combination of discussion, demonstration and writing exercises.
Kerry will talk about songs as fiction, non-fiction and personal essay, and he’ll emphasize that there are no rules, only conventions. Do you have a new song that you’d like to debut? Kerry will also talk about how to critique songs in a way that nurtures creativity and doesn’t leave the writer reeling.
