Homestyle began playing in 1994. The group or Duo is composed of

Robert Smith/aka Cherokee Bob who plays mandolin and vocals, along with

Steven Smith, guitar and lead vocals.

Bob has put in almost a lifetime playing bluegrass. At age sixteen he was playing on a radio morning show in Rome, Georgia. He was also a regular on the CBS television show HEE HAW for thirteen years. Since then he continued to play with various bands before coming home to Homestyle.

Steven is a Billings native and started playing bluegrass in the 70's. He is a founding member of Homestyle and writes some of the groups songs. He helped form the local Bluegrass Association and co-sponsors the Steve Kaufman Guitar Workshop held in Billings every September.
